2021 Capitol Ride Details

 Participation Fee 

Rider Option 1 - Single Room, No Sharing: $660.00 Participation Fee, Per Person. The $50.00 fee at the time of registration is applied to your total balance due, leaving a $610.00 balance. (The balance will be due the day of the ride to participate.)

Rider Option 2 - Shared Room with Another Rider: $525.00 Participation Fee, Per Person. The $50.00 fee at the time of registration is applied to your total balance due, leaving a $475.00 balance. You must have a pre-determined roommate for this option or you will be sleeping with Parny. (The balance will be due the day of the ride to participate.)

 Fee Includes 

Individual or shared accommodations each night (Marriot Courtyard Fairfield Inns), lunch and dinner (All 3 days, this does not include lunch on the bus ride to Tallhassee), jersey, SAG support and transportation for you and your gear. (Due to Covid-19 the hotels are providing "pack-n-go" meals for breakfast, so you may want to pack your own breakfast items.)

Day 2, Tallahassee to Lake City, 108 Miles - Route/Maps

Day 3, Lake City to Ocala, 107.3 Miles - Route/Maps

Day 4, Ocala to Moffitt Cancer Center - Route/Maps
 

 Ride Location 

Leaving the Moffitt Cancer Center on Saturday, February 6, 2021, via Coach Bus arriving at the Capitol in Tallahassee. Time TBD.

 Transportation

Transportation to Tallahassee for the start of journey will be by motor coach provided by the Moffitt Cancer Center. We will also have AAA providing a box truck for all gear. Please note, we will not be providing lunch on the bus ride, so you may want to pack your own.

Choose between women's & men's club cut, separate size charts below (we are not offering the race cut for this ride), please be careful during the selection of your jersey! If unsure, please go a bit larger as we won't have extras to swap out if your jersey does not fit.

 Ride Age & Ability Requirements 

Adults Only. Riders must be able to maintain an average of 15mph for 3-100 mile days. Riders must carry a cell phone at all times during the Capitol Ride. 

 Disclaimer 

In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in the Cure On Wheels BIKE-A-THON, and its related events and activities, I, the undersigned, acknowledge and agree that:
  1. The risk of injury from the activities involved in this event is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; and,
  2. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the releasees or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and,
  3. I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation, including any and all rules and regulations posted by the ride organizers. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and,
  4. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless Cure on Wheels, Inc., its officers, directors, volunteers, officials, agents and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies and organizations, sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event ("Releasees"), with respect to any and all injury, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property, Whether arising from the negligence of the releasees or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  5. NEW COVID 19: While we will try to be as careful as we can with masks (other than during actual ride times) and other precautions, we cannot ensure your complete safety from any virus during this trip. We ask that you do your part in helping to keep yourself and all others safe as we ride together to raise awareness. I, willingly agree to comply with stated Covid Guidelines and release, indemnify, and hold harmless Cure on Wheels, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, officials, agents and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies and organizations, sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event ("Releasees"),free of any liability as a result of my participation in this event, should I become infected at any point in time.
